Do you offer support for home-schooled students?
Arrow

Yes. At our tuition centre in Shipley, we offer English, maths and science lessons to support families choosing to home educate. This option provides a calm, structured environment for children who may find mainstream school too busy or overwhelming, with lessons tailored to their individual pace and learning.Usually, lessons take place in our main session times.

How are your sessions structured?
Arrow

Each child receives 1-to-1 teaching within a small group session (maximum of four students).

Every student follows their own personalised learning programme, designed around their goals and academic needs. Working alongside peers helps students feel relaxed, motivated, and supported, while benefiting from focused individual attention.

Our aim is to build confidence, close learning gaps, and encourage academic success in a friendly, positive environment.

Are your tutors qualified teachers?
Arrow

Yes. All our tutors are experienced, fully qualified teachers with excellent knowledge of the UK curriculum and exam requirements.

Every teacher holds a current DBS certificate.

How long is each session?

Sessions typically last around 80 minutes, depending on your child’s age and subject area.

How often should my child attend?
Arrow

Most students attend once or twice a week, depending on their needs and goals. We’ll advise on a suitable plan that works best for your child.

Do you give homework?
Arrow

Yes. Homework is set regularly to consolidate learning and track progress. It also encourages responsibility and independent study.

How is progress tracked?
Arrow

Progress is monitored through informal assessments, regular reviews, parent feedback, and mock exams (where relevant). This ensures that every student is consistently moving forward and achieving their goals.

Where are lessons held?

My daughter has recently had 2 sessions per week for a term and a half at LEA Tuition in preparation for her maths GCSE re sit exams this week. The owner was so welcoming and friendly from the moment we first went in. The maths teachers are brilliant tutors and both went above and beyond at explaining things so my daughter understood and got her head around certain areas she wasn’t sure about. I just wish I had booked the tutor sessions a lot more in advance of her GCSEs!

My daughter attended LEA Tuition to catch up on missed science lessons in the run up to her GCSEs. She received excellent tuition from Ammar and really enjoyed the small group of students she was with. Ammar was able to give her a tailored program that has really boosted her confidence particularly in regards to physics which she was dreading. Thank you Ammar and the team. The revision sessions directly before her exams were particularly helpful.
